WHO ARE WE?

The Umbrella centre is an Autism Intervention centre offering skills development and the necessary support and intervention to neurodivergent kids. Our main focus is to ensure that each child receives an individualized skill set that encourages independence and school readiness.

Our approach is a Tripartite approach where floor time is encouraged and a strong relationship is established between the practitioner and the child. We are able to do this by manipulating and controlling the environment around us.

A few words from our clients

I can’t say enough good things about our therapist! She has been such a blessing for our family and has made a world of difference for my son. From the very start, it was clear how much she genuinely loves working with kids, and that passion shines through in every session. When we started, my son struggled with sitting still, couldn’t engage with most toys, and strongly disliked any form of touch. But thanks to her patience, understanding, and creative approach, he’s made incredible progress. Now, he’s a hugger who loves being close and connecting with his loved ones!

Even though he’s still nonverbal, he’s now able to do so many things appropriate for his age—he’s learning to cut with scissors, writing over letters, and playing with toys in a way that’s fun and engaging. Seeing him so happy and capable brings us so much joy. I am endlessly grateful for her dedication, kindness, and for the amazing impact she’s had on my son’s life. Highly recommend her to any parent looking for a truly outstanding practitioner!
